Rancho de Voladores is tucked away on the west side of Paso Robles where we have some of the finest wine grapes in California. We are currently looking for buyers for our 2011 Syrah Grapes at $2,000 per ton, and our Merlot at $1,800 per ton. Grapes can also be purchased by the pound.
Voladores Vineyard grows five varieties of red grapes: Syrah, Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab Sauvignon, and Zinfandel. Most of our grapes are sold under long-term evergreen contracts, but some are sold with a handshake. We sell to both large wineries and small-scale private winemakers.
Feel free to give us a call to talk about placing an order. - George: 805.423.2331

“Purple in color with a bright red rim, our 2008 Syrah is rich in varietal character. The nose has a touch of floral notes, combined with layers of blueberry, plum and overtones of caramel and butterscotch. The palate is soft upon entry, yielding flavors of spice and black fruit evolving into a weighty mid palate that's fleshy and round. The finish of this Syrah is soft, lengthy, and rolls across your tongue...”

“Joseph's techniques are geared at enhancing the natural flavors from the vineyard with old world winemaking using hand-punched, small open-top fermentors. Through this, maximum extraction can be achieved. All wines are 100% barrel aged exclusively in French and American Oak. Most importantly, Joseph handles 100% of the wine operation insuring that every step in the process is done to its fullest potential.”

Larry and Dorothy live in Ojai Ca. They visited us to pick up their ton of grapes, making a pleasant addition to our list of winery buyers.
The grapes are grown on eight plus acres at an elevation of 1300' in the prime West Side Templeton gap area of Paso Robles. Vines are trellised on a modified GDC system for optimum air and sun exposure. Clusters produce small berries, pruned for low tonnage, developing superior flavors and color. The vineyard was developed by Vintage Nurseries on 110R and 1103P rootstock with Estrella clone.
Grapes will be hand harvested into the buyer's 1/2 ton bins, and weighed. After harvesting, the bins can be loaded onto the buyer's vehicle, or we can deliver for free within the Paso Robles area. Hauling may be arranged for extended distances at the buyer's expense.
Rancho de Voladores Vineyard (Ranch of the Soaring Birds) rests on eighty secluded acres of some of Paso Robles most beautiful mountain country, situated between twelve and fourteen hundred feet in elevation. Whether lush green in the spring, or golden in the fall, the views are enhanced by faraway mountains, open fields and nearby oak forests. A wooded seasonal creek runs through the ranch, adding to the variety of the countryside. Its thirty acres of Bordeaux and Rhone style grapes are prized for their quality, which is derived partly from the varied terrain and partly from the attention given to each individual vine. The Zinfandel vines are head pruned. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah vines are trained on a double curtain wire trellis. This system takes years longer to reach full production, but eventually provides optimum air and sunlight to the clusters. A well known local producer of fine wines has stated that “Rancho de Voladores Vineyard has one of the best vineyard locations on the Central Coast.”
